How to lose weight ? Just the basics
Question:
I have been trying to lose some weight for a while now. My BMI is almost 27, I’m aiming for 17-22lbs weight loss. Is it enough if I go to gym twice a week, about 1,5 hour at a time. Usually I start by cycling with the exercise bike for 20 minutes, after the workout I cycle or run on the treadmill for another 20 minutes. Once in a while I go for 45 minute walks, about once a week. Is there any possibility to lose weight without having stop completely partying on weekends.
Answer:
First I was thinking to myself you probably are eating all kinds of unhealthy foods, but the at the end I saw the answer to your problems. The partying, it is not bad once in a while to party with your friends but you should look after what you are eating and drinking then. There is unbelievable amount of calories in different drinks, and drinking those is a sure way to get some excess energy to your body, which in the end will result as a fat. So first you got to think about that.
The twice at gym plus one jogging/walking a week plan sounds good to me, or at least at the beginning. Perhaps with time as your fitness level rises you can add one more gym or one more jogging session to your week, or if your schedule allows, both. One way to add more fat burning to your day is to do small daily efforts, like change elevators to stairs, go short distances by walking not with car etc. When at shopping mall, leave your car a little further away from the door. These are small things but may help you to burn more fat. If you can, go to work by foot or by bicycling. Try to walk stairs up and down on your weekly walk/jogging sessions or you might try nordic walking poles.
Look after what you are eating, and try to make breakfast and the meal after your training the most nutrious. If you have a sweet tooth give yourself a permission to eat candy or other sweets once a week, but don’t over do the eating.
