Should I first lose weight and then try to gain some muscle to get curvy sexy body?
Question:
I’m 25 years old woman, I’m a bit overweight and would like to get a curvy sexy body. How do I achieve this? I understand that I need to lose weight, but I should also try to get some muscle mass to get a nice posture and curvy body. Where should I start? Should I just lose some weight and then switch to building a little muscle to the right places?
Answer:
Well.. Again this sexy thing, I surely ain’t the right person to talk about looking sexy but I assume that you are trying to get a bit of that Kim Kardashian look or maybe even Coco Austin type curves. First I have to say the truth about the whole matter, that not all of the women can look like Kim or Coco, but every and each one of us all can look good! First I suggest to visit How to get bigger butt website!
On the the topic then. I have always felt that when you have a bit extra carrying around in your body, gaining more muscle is a easier than it is when you are really fit. This probably varies from person to person, but I would assume that my assumption has some truth behind it, as it is easier for the body to get energy from your fat to build muscle as you exercise. This of course doesn’t mean that you should eat to get fat to gain muscle! Also, bigger muscles do consume more energy and this makes losing weight a bit easier. So I would definitely recommend of starting weight exercising immediately. To get that dream body of yours, curves and all, focus on exercising those areas where you want to get a bit more curves, but still do whole body workouts!
Then to the weight losing business, which seems to be a billion dollar business these days.. You probably already know about eating healthy, avoiding sugars and candy, eating 5 – 6 times a day and all of that so I’m not going to chit chat about that. Then lets talks first about why it is a good idea to lose weight, even if you are going to gym to gain some muscles. As you know, the excess fat around your body prevents your body shape to become visible. Even though building muscle will get more curves to your body, if you don’t have too much fat around your body. To really get your body showing its shape you need to lose the excess fat, well not all of it but most of it. This makes it a really good idea to lose some weight while building muscle.
How to lose weight then? As we all know, different kind of diets will many times leave us without any excess energy for exercising. So the solution is to eat enough, but not too much. Think about it this way losing weight is simple mathematics, intake less than you consume, but don’t overdo it so that you have always some energy left for exercising.
I have always found it much easier to keep in weight and to lose weight by eating healthy and by doing different fat burning exercises. This way you don’t need to be as picky and strict about your food as if you would need if you where only trying to lose weight by diets. A good one hour exercise session can burn up 600 – 900 kcal, how much you can burn depends on your body, a big muscular person can easily burn that 900 kcal and smaller lighter and not so muscular will burn about that 600 kcal. Remember though, the intensity also plays a big role, so make sure you always put your best effort into your fat burning exercises and do them with high intensity. If you can walk after your workout like nothing happened, then you most likely have been slacking!
By now you probably know that I recommend of doing both at the same time, fat burning exercises and building muscle. These two do support each other. How often should you do then these two then? This unfortunately is usually the hardest part of exercising, we simply have other things to do in our lives than just exercising, just remember that any exercising is always good! I would like to recommend that you would try to do cardio and fat burning exercising, like jogging, walking, running, aerobics, martial-arts or what ever makes you enjoy the sports and at the same time burn fat, about 3 – 4 times a week. Aim for 500 – 600 kcal burn in one exercise session. For the weight exercising, about 3 times a week is ideal for the beginning. If you can, you can do one or two gym workouts and fat burning exercises on a same day, but always go first to gym and after it to your walk or running exercise. Remember to keep at least one day in a week for a complete day of rest, no exercising whatsoever on that day!
So my answer to the question is lose weight by eating right, doing different fat burning exercises and doing some weight exercises. With the weight lifting, target the areas you feel that need the most change!
