I want to get a flatter stomach!

Question:

I’m a 21 – year old woman. Otherwise I’m satisfied with my body, but I would like to get toned especially around my stomach. How many times a week and how much should I exercise and what kind of exercising should I do? I already go to different aerobics, body pumps, spinnings and fat burning aerobics. Daily I walk for about 45 minutes. I have never been to gym much and my knees don’t like jogging. How to get toned?

Answer:

Again we are closing the topic of spot fat burn, this one is beloved by every infomercial ab exercise equipment seller and even though how much they say things about how to lose fat from certain place, it  just doesn’t exist. Once you start intaking less calories than you consume then you start losing fat, from where does the fat starts to disappear from your body is unfortunately up to your body, but usually you lose your fat all around your body.

Doing different ab exercises will get you a better posture to the pelvic area, but to get a truly flat stomach or even a six pack abs the layer of fat needs to be really thin. There are also some food ingredients that will create gas and swell your body which will keep your stomach constantly a bit swollen. So you need to check what you are eating.

When you exercise your abdominal muscles, remember to do controlled motions and use your abdominal muscles to create the movement. You shouldn’t swing up and by using your hands or something else as a help. Calm and controlled motions are best for exercising abs.

When you do aerobic exercises two to three times a week, you body’s oxygen intake gets better. Aerobic exercising is also the most effective way to burn fat away, just make sure your aerobic workouts are hard enough for you. I say you should think about going to gym, if you go three times a week to gym your whole body gets a good workout and it tones your body also. Otherwise I think you are on the right tracks, just make sure that you are eating healthy foods and candy and other sweets maximum once a week.
