Butt muscles consist of gluteus maximus, gluteus medius and gluteus minimus. The gluteus maximus is the biggest and the one that really makes the shape for your butt. The gluteus medius and gluteus minimus are located around ilium, a part of your pelvis. Together these muscles help you move your thighs out to side, behind you and rotate your leg. Strong buttock muscles are helpful in almost any sports that involve running and high intensity turning. For many women a great looking butt is a something that is desired after and good butt muscles are just what they are after. So exercise your butt hard and the result will be a round butt.
